Where oh where does the time go? I have been swamped with this, that, and the other which has put me way behind on my blog posts. So, just be warned.....you are about to be slapped in the face (well, that's a bit harsh) - you are about to be whisked away to what my day to day life has been for the last few weeks. My Photo a Day project is still going strong. Of course, not every day is filled with rainbows and unicorns, but that's life, right?

After 2 weeks of attempting to photograph the camera shy blackbird there are a few lessons I have learned along the way. One - don't take your giant, bird chasing dog. Duh. What was I thinking!? Second - don't stand directly under a bird for too long. You will get pooped on. Ho-hum....the journey to capture that illusive bird continues....

I spent a warm and sunny December afternoon with the beautiful Kim Martinez and her two little men recently photographing silly smiles, holiday hats and puppy grins. Three year old Kaelon sure knows how to turn on the charm when the camera is in front of him. I was even lucky enough to be the audience for his interpretation of Michael Jackson's "Bad" video. It was fantastically, melt your heart entertaining! Big Foot the Bulldog couldn't have been a cuter subject to photograph, either. Those crooked teeth and that silly under bite won my heart over in an instant. This is a peek at the fun had by all...

Welcome to my first ever blog post! Hooray! I can't help but sing Little Bird by Annie Lennox. Somehow I feel it's an appropriate launching tune. ....and I wholeheartedly believe, no matter how cheesey it may be, life isn't lived to the fullest without a little song to go along.
